The crepe bandage comes in three different types (light, medium and elastic) to cater to the retention and protection of wound dressings, as well as provide assistance in standard immobilisation and compression bandage techniques.

This elastic bandage can serve to compress and add pressure to the area around an open wound to help stem blood flow, especially while awaiting treatment. The AEROCREPE^TM elastic bandage can also be used to immobilise the area around an injury, especially if the injury requires additional time and/or a lack of use to fully recover.

Any wound and gauze dressings underneath cotton compression bandages should be changed daily, or more often, according to the condition of the wound.
