Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between this semi-automatic cellular CR2 and the fully automatic cellular CR2?

Both use the CR2 platform and cellular connectivity. This semi-automatic model requires the responder to press the shock button when a shock is advised; the fully automatic model delivers the advised shock after its safety prompts without a button press.

Why choose cellular connectivity instead of relying on Wi-Fi?

Stryker highlights 4G connectivity for remote monitoring, status notifications, software updates, location tracking and event-data transfer, including placements in outdoor areas where a local Wi-Fi network may not be practical.

Can the CR2 analyse the heart rhythm while CPR is being performed?

Yes. Stryker's cprINSIGHT analysis technology enables rhythm analysis during chest compressions, helping reduce pauses in CPR.

Are separate paediatric electrodes required?

No. Child Mode reduces defibrillation energy and provides child-appropriate CPR guidance while using the same CR2 electrodes.

What energy levels can the CR2 deliver?

Stryker specifies configurable adult energy levels from 150 to 360 J, with default adult therapy of 200 J, 300 J and 360 J. Child Mode uses lower configurable energy levels.

How is AED readiness monitored?

Connected CR2 devices perform automatic self-tests and can report device status remotely, helping identify readiness issues and supporting software updates and status notifications.
